I have a serious perfume addiction. It all started when I was around 16 years old, working in The Fragrance Shop in my town centre to fund my clothing addiction whilst in college. Being introduced to such amazing scents made my collection rapidly grow. Sadly, my bank balance rapidly shrunk but hey it made me happy. Not only did I get to try so many fragrances (with free testers too!) but I also got to learn about what makes a perfume a perfume and what makes a toilette a toilette – and I don’t mean just the price tag - as well as learning all about the fragrance notes. A little geeky I know but I found it so fascinating. It also explains why perfume smells different on different people – it mixed with your skin and natural scents init.

I have always been a fan of DKNY fragrances as they are just so sophisticated, sexy and iconic. I was super excited to hear about DKNY's new fragrance 'My NY' created and dedicated to the big apple itself.

When I received the press release for this I was drawn in with the wonderful passion that went in to creating this fragrance. The campaign features Rita Ora and captures the excitement, personality and carefree inspiring atmosphere that New York has. The whole campaign is shot as it is seen through Rita's eyes and shows Rita holding the new My NY bottle in the iconic Times Square among bright lights and passing cabs. Sounds exciting right! *Drifts off into a dream world where I jump on a plane and visits NY*

After I first opened the bottle* I was fell in love with the bottle, a super cute heart shaped bottle with a 3D platforms on the top that represents the big iconic buildings of the city itself. The scent is absolutely divine and is beautifully sexy and spontaneous yet oh so chic - it is perfect for day wear or even for that special occasion.

The top notes build the sexiness of the scent with Raspberries and Gabanum with accents of Pink Pepper, leading onto the middle notes with the sensuality of Egyptian Jasmine wrapped with Freesia and roots of Orris and the final notes add the soul to the fragrance with Patchouli Heart LMR, Vanilla Absolute and Musk laced with vibrant Ambergris.

DKNY MYNY EDP retails at £37 for 30ml, £49 for 50ml* and £68 for 100ml. DKNY MYNY Shower Gel is £24 for 100ml and DKNY MYNY Body Lotion is £27 for 100ml.

DKNY MYNY is available exclusively at Debenhams.com and W1 from 5th August 2014 and will be released Nationwide from 20th August 2014.

Will you be picking up DKNY MYNY when it is released?
I think you should I love it!

Calvin Klein have done it again with releasing a fantastic Summer fragrance, Calvin Klein are known for their fresh and floral women's fragrances and I am chuffed I was lucky enough to try this years CK Eternity Summer*.

CK Eternity Summer is a floral yet fresh fragrance, the perfume is inspired by summer and is perfect for any occasion throughout Spring/Summer. The bottle is just super cute. A chic pastel pink bottle that has a matte like feel but keeping the signature Eternity bottle look.

The Top Notes (the scents you instantly smell) include mandarin, green bamboo leaves, pear and watermelon. The Heart Notes (usually noticed shortly after application) include peony, water lily, gardenia and neroli. The Base Notes (last on the skin) include gentle musk and blonde woods - I am not going to lie I don't really know half of these notes but together they work beautifully creating a wonderful Summer fragrance. I noticed a strong scent of Rose water which isn't usually everyone's cup of tea but you will have to try it for yourself, remember fragrances can smell different on different skin so you may notice a stronger note.

I admit, I don't wear this fragrance every day but on those sunny days where I want a fresh yet floral scent I pick this one up. Summer fragrances usually come in the larger size which is often 100ml but the price is slightly cheaper than the original fragrance, you can pick up CK Eternity Summer from Fragrance Direct for £30.99 for 100ml.

What summer fragrances do you usually go for?
