Ahh Sundays! The day of rest. Except for me, it’s usually not a day for resting. Unless I have had a super productive Saturday it’s normally spent catching up on writing content for my blog, thinking what I am going to have for lunch during the week, eating (a lot) and hopefully - if there’s time – I finish the day with a nice relaxing bubble bath, and maybe a cheeky glass of fizz.
If you are already a blogger, then hopefully you’re already aware of what essentials we need to be able to create wonderful content - a laptop and some thoughts right? Quite possibly. But for those of you who are looking to start a blog or are new to blogging, a little inspiration might help give your blog the nudge it needs. The blogging world is getting stronger so is the content and creativity of blogs, competition within the blogging world is forever rising, and although us bloggers are extremely supportive of each other, what can we do to improve our blog and make it more known in this big, forever growing, blog world?
Hand on heart, I can truthfully say that I love my blog. And I honestly wish that I had found the blogging world a lot sooner than I did as I think I have found a love that I didn’t know I had. I finally feel content in life and I feel that blogging has helped show me my true passions and the real me. Which might sound a little cheesy but it’s true. On the contrary, not only is it also hard work and extremely time consuming, but you often feel that you are working two jobs (if sadly, like me, blogging isn’t your full time job). You have to be constantly creative for new content and exciting things to share. You have to be open to criticism and be able to use it to your advantage to grow. And, no matter what, you need to make sure it’s always something that you love doing. Because if you no longer love your blog, then you might as well give it up.
If you already follow me on Instagram I bet you are thinking, hello you are not Instagram famous. And it’s true, I am not. Although I have around 1,600 followers, in comparison to many users of Instagram that’s not a lot (and that’s not saying I don’t appreciate each and every one of you, because I do ♥) Social Media is such an important part of the blogging world now, with the competition forever increasing it’s almost hard to get yourself noticed across sites. I am in no way, shape or form an expert on “gaining” followers on Instagram especially considering my followers have only started increasing this year, but I’d like to think I have a steady following and I’ve learnt a few tricks of the trade that have upped’ my numbers recently.
Ah, a new year. Which often means setting yourself copious amounts of goals, to-do lists and resolutions to make yourself a better person - even if I think you’re pretty great as you are! – but, we all do it. Set ourselves goals in a new year to hopefully (and finally) get round to doing those things we have always dreamed of. Yes, I know I am the same. But we have to start somewhere and surely having that idea and that goal means that we are one step closer to becoming the best version of ourselves? Probably.
Joshua James Jewellery is a company that is a personal favourite of mine. Not only are they all super friendly but they have a mahoosive collection of popular brands including Daniel Wellington, Thomas Sabo, Olivia Burton, Nomination, Michael Kors, Links of London, DiamonFire, Vivienne Westwood, Hot Diamonds and so many more! Not only that BUT they have recently released their own collection called Joshua James Collection it’s right up my street. Joshua James created this delicate and dazzling collection of feminine jewellery inspired by love, faith and nature. So if you love pretty, minimalistic yet classy and stylish all at an really affordable price then this is the collection for you.
Probably speaking for myself but I’d like to think we've all had our teenage beauty mishap’s. I really wish I had got involved with the blogging world as a teenager as I’d like to think a) I’d read some proper advice and would have probably avoided a lot of the #beautyfails and b) I’d have a lot nicer skin as I wouldn't have used so many cheap products.
Interviews can be
frightening but can also be super exciting! After all, you usually go for an
interview to go for a job that you really want. It may be a promotion or a step
in the right direction for your chosen career path. Whatever it may be, the best
way to smash that interview is to be calm, not to over prepare and just be
yourself.
Before you panic, don't worry this isn't one of those "New Year New Me" bullshiz posts. But it's to actually set some real resolutions to try and actually stick to them. Each year I reflect on what I wanted to do for the future but I still never do them, which is really bad considering I am usually organised! It's probably been three years since I have actually kept to a resolution, and that was when I stopped smoking (WOOHOO!) but this time, I have decided to visit the ghost of Christmas past -okay of New Years Resolutions past - and re-set myself the goals that I didn't get to keep, and a few more. Life really is too short not to do the things you want to do. So, I need to stop procrastinating and get my shit together. Here goes.
