MAC Cremesheen lipsticks really are my favourite! They are a super creamy formula that leave a glossy look without looking sloppy and a beautiful burst of colour. I have finally built a collection of MAC lipsticks and I always use the cremesheen the most, if you have not bought a MAC lipstick I would definitely recommending picking up a nude-ish shade from the cremesheen collection as they more or less suit everyone and they are just gorgeous.

The newest addition to my Cremesheen lipstick collection is this shade in Sunny Seoul, in the tube the shade looks a coral-pink with a subtle shimmer tone but on your lips it almost looks like a nude-pinky shade. I did notice that this shade did change pigmentation under different lights as in natural light you could really see the pop of colour but in artificial lighting the lipstick is more subtle.

Please excuse the fact that my face looks rather hairy! I don't know why my camera does this haha. I absolutely love this colour and it will definitely be a re-purchase of mine, it has already taken price place as my new favourite.

What MAC lipsticks would you recommend? Will you be picking up this shade?

So this post is all about preventing bacne (back-acne) and before I start I want to say that I am no expert, and I cannot guarantee this will cure your bacne but this has certainly helped me and my skin is a lot clearer and I now feel a little more confident wearing a strappy top in the summer or even an open back dress (ish).

All of the products featured are available online or on the highstreet and are all reasonable priced. If you seen my last post I mentioned a few do's and dont's and one of the most important do's is finding the right products that work that also are not stuffed with perfumes, alcohol and fragrances and the next few products you will see should suit all skin types that suffer from acne and I am hoping (fingers crossed) these help you like they have helped me.

Spa Find Perfect Purity - Dermabalance Face & Body Wash Link £11.60

This product is said to have control your acne and reduces scars, eliminates impurities and to reduce the oil production in your skin which prevents spots. I use a couple of pumps of this on a body brush and apply is small circular motions, it is important to not be vigorous with the brush as this can actually damage your skin and could cause more spots. On the occasions my skin is worse I use this twice over and gently rinse with water.

Cactus Body Brush, Bodycare £3.99

This brush may look a little scary but it really is not rough at all. When wet the brush is quite delicate on the skin and works wonders for cleansing your skin with product whilst gently removing any dead skin cells. I wouldn't recommend using this to treat facial acne as the skin is more delicate but if you suffer from acne on any other area of your body you definitely need to pick up a body brush, you don't need an expensive one at all as this was pretty reasonable and has lasted me a while and still has loads of use left.

Sudocrem, Any Pharmaceutical Store £2.99

Finally when I am out of the bath/shower I apply a thin layer of sudocrem on any blemishes and leave it to work it's magic. For those who have never used Sudocrem before it is an antiseptic and antibacterial product that helps clear/heal your skin and is one of the best products to use if you have acne - this is literally a miracle product as you can use it for just about anything.

I have been using this routine for a good few months now and I really think they all work, I really wish I found this routine when I was younger as my skin is now so much better and my back is a lot clearer than it's been in a very long time - I admit it's not perfect and there are still a lot of scars from when I was younger which I can't get rid of but my confidence has had a massive boost and my skin is slowly improving to how I want it.

I really hope you found the second post in my Acne Diaries series useful, if you would like to see anything covered or have anything you would like me answer please feel free to leave a comment :)

I am sure you have all heard about Triangl and their Swimwear/Underwear. And they are definitely a product you need to be seen in at the beach or on holiday, ladies I introduce to you the 'IT' bikini. Yes I said it, it is literally the favourite swimwear brand across bloggers, models and celebrities worldwide and I feel so lucky to have been able to have been kindly gifted one. The bikini featured above is the Winnie in New York Noir* Link - cool name isn't it?

Triangl Swimwear is made of Neoprene which is basically from a family of synthetic rubbers and has a good chemical stability and maintains flexibility over a wide temperature range (so wiki says), which is perfect for swimwear - you will also see this material used for wetsuits.

I didn't know what to expect but when I opened the package I fell in love, Triangl Bikini is a high quality product that fits perfectly and is very flattering. As I am small busted I prefer a bandeau bikini and I am pleased with my choice as I honestly just love everything about it, the bikini is so easy to wear and it is so comfortable - I now need to book a holiday now for an excuse to wear it! Of course losing a few extra pounds before haha!

Triangl are very helpful and have fantastic service which is a big thing for me. They are also happy to exchange your item providing it is still in original condition, if you need another size or prefer to try a different style. I would definitely say to check the sizing before you purchase as I exchanged mine for a slightly bigger size, I am not heavy busted and the bikini isn't revealing it was just personal comfort as they are very fitted - Triangl recommend you to get a bigger size in the bottoms are they are a little snug.

All Swimwear comes in a Neoprene bag to store your bikini in and also comes with some instructions to keep your bikini looking it's best.

I will save you all from the bikini shot's as I really wouldn't want to put you lovely bunch through all of that but instead I will show you a few more of the bikini so you can see for yourself how fab these bikini's are.

What is your favourite Triangl Bikini? Will you be picking one up for your holiday?

I could pretend I am this perfect girl that doesn't have any problems with her skin/body but I am not going to because I am a normal girl with imperfections and rather than being embarrassed/disgusted with my body I thought I would share these tips to help others too.

Acne is has been a big part of my life and it's something I had to put up with growing up, for anyone who has or had acne you will know that it never really goes away and most of us are left with horrible scars which have ruined our confidence completely. Well I am one of those girls! I have also been one of those girls that suffer from bacne (acne on your back) and occasionally it's worse but I have finally found a routine-ish to help keep it under control (well kinda - sadly I still have the scars).

I really wanted to tell anyone who suffers from acne it really is nothing to be ashamed of, and according to NHS statistics it is more common than you think with around 80% of people aged between 11-30 experience acne at least once - surely that has got to make you feel a little bit better?

I have suffered from acne intermittently since I was about 13, I have never really been able to stop it and I have found over the years that some products I just cannot use because it make's it worse. More than likely I have tried everything out there which is why I thought I would start a series on my blog called the Acne Diaries where I will cover tips and products which help, products that don't and much more.

Now on to the Do's and the Dont's.

Do's:

♥ Cleanse your face twice a day using hot or warm water - Once in the morning and once in the night. In the morning I would recommend using Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish as it's a gentle cleanse and in the evening use the same product but do a second cleanse with Eucerin DermaPurifying Cleanser. After your cleanse always use a toner to balance the pH of your skin.

♥ Use a fresh flannel or cloth every time you wash your face - think of all the bacteria you are cleaning out in you cleanse, you don't want to put it back in your skin later in the day.

♥ Drink lots of water - I am shocked I am saying this as I hardly ever used to drink water but now I swear by it and I try to drink as much as I can a day. It really is good for clearing any toxins out of your skin and is great for helping to clear up your skin (I don't know how it just is!)

♥ Change your bedding at least once a week - again think of the bacteria, and whilst your skin is on the road to recovery you wouldn't want to breakout again.

♥ Use the right moisturiser for your skin type - matching a good moisturiser will help keep the oils and the pH of your skin balanced. For example you wouldn't use a moisturiser for dry skin if you are combination/oily as it will add too much moisture.

♥ Check your products - I found that using a perfumed or heavy fragranced shampoo's actually made my acne worse, for example ever since I changed to the Naked Shampoo range my head is not irritated and my bacne has cleared up. Also worth while checking your body lotions, washing up detergents and if you have long hair then check your hair products.

♥ Exercise - I am the worst at this as I am so lazy (I really need to get my act together) but exercise is great for getting the blood flowing which will help your skin look healthy. Just make sure you shower when you get home to remove any sweat and bacteria off your skin.

♥ Eat Healthy - If you eat healthy your body is full of good toxins, if you think about all the rubbish that goes into fast or fatty foods it really is not good for you and those toxins will eventually come out and it's usually in your skin.

♥ Clean your phone - I noticed this through work as my work phone was covered in make-up and it made me think what else is lurking on my phone, I often use an antibacterial wipe just to give my phone a quick clean and get rid of any bacteria.

♥ Be patient - getting rid of acne will not happen over night. But you have to be strict with yourself and stick in a routine and it will work I promise! I have been there and I have been embarrassed and disgusted with myself; especially with my bacne and it made me really self concious and completely ruined my confidence but it is slowly getting there. So just be patient and give yourself a break! :)

Dont's

♥ Avoid products with lots of alcohol or have a high oil concentration as this will just feed the acne and make it worse.

♥ Prevent from using make-up or wearing lots of make-up - this is something I very rarely do and I understand that when you have acne the one thing you are not going to do is leave it uncovered. But where possible don't wear make-up, I always remove my make-up as soon as I am home and when I am not going anywhere I leave it off to let my skin breathe. Or you could even try switching to a make-up that is made to help spot-prone skin or for preventing the clogging of pores.

♥ Don't touch - I am the worst culprit for this, you unconsciously touch! My acne is around my jawline and the worst thing I do is sit with my hands in my face at work, if you have sweat or oils on your skin and touch your face it can cause further irritation or cause your pores to block even more.

♥ Don't pick - The one thing you want to do is to remove any blemish but with acne it is actually worse as it means the bacteria can spread and can get into more pores, simply using the right products to open up your pores then clean your skin and using a toner to close your pores again will do the trick

♥ Get stressed - Stress and worry causes acne to break out easier and to spread quicker. I don't actually know how or why this happens but it does and I notice it in my skin if I have been stressed.

So not that many then ey! Like I said before I am not anywhere near an expert but I am human, I have and am still suffering with acne and I have probably tried every tip you can think of and these are the few that I find have really helped me so I thought I would share. It goes to show that mum's are always right as it was my mum that has told me most of these :)

I really hope you found the first part of the Acne Diaries helpful, I will be doing a few more posts in the series shortly but I would love to know if there was anything in particular you would like me to cover or anything you would like to see? If so please leave a comment as I love to hear them and it will also help me ensure that my future posts are useful :)

First of all I would like to mention that I am no where near an expert at this kind of stuff and all of the information below is based on my person opinion or on my experience.

Getting involved with PR Companies and brands is something bloggers want to be a part of - whether you admit it or not we all see other bloggers get sent something amazing through the post and you feel a little bit jealous inside because you want it too, it's only natural to feel like this. Whenever the #bbloggers chat is about working with PR Companies the chat always has mixed opinions about contacting PR companies or brands or not. Personally if you understand the way collaborating works, you understand the PR Company or Brand and you respect each others views and wishes, the professional relationship can be great so why shouldn't you just give yourself that little push to get your blog more known?

Before you do so I think it's important to understand the individual PR company you are contacting as it is not all about freebies. Each company is different and it's important to understand what industries they specialise in before asking for products or samples to be provided. PR companies are also great to get your blog out there in the blogging world and to help you gain more experience in socialising and networking with your blog. Many PR companies can invite to exciting events or can email you the latest press releases before they go public etc, get you involved with launch parties or may even be able to get you to cover particular events as a blogger.

The Basics

♥ Contact Details - I think it is important to have an email specific for your blog and make it visible on your blog, twitter etc as this is a great way to network with others and for companies to contact you should they wish.

♥ Social Media - I think the best way to get your blog out there is to advertise whether that be sharing photos of your upcoming blog posts on Instagram or sharing the links on your Twitter and Facebook. I personally think it's important to share your post with the companies featured in your post whether or not you were sent a sample as it helps those companies recognise your blog and see what you are about - you never know it may even open up a window of opportunity.

♥ Professional - Keep your posts and your blog professional as well as showing your personality and keeping it individual for example have an easy readable layout, clear photos and presentable writing. . When writing/designing a post you will not believe the amount of times I preview before I post and that is probably because I am so anal about my blog as I really want it easy to read and simple to use as well as having clear photos but this really helps me see how things will look.

♥ Honesty - Be honest in your posts. Whether that be a negative or positive post just be honest - don't feel obliged to write a positive post just because you have been sent something. However don't be rude when posting a negative review instead just change the wording to make it not sound as bad for example rather than saying you hate the product and you would recommend it explain why you didn't get along with it but you could recommend it to someone or finish with a comment.

PR Companies/Brand Networking

You have to remember that the blogging community is forever growing and it is hard to get involved with PR Companies/Brands as there are hundreds of bloggers out there. A few things that you need to remember are that all PR Companies and Brands have targets to meet so don't be disheartened if you don't get sent something as they are just doing their job. They also have a limit to how many samples/freebies they can send out, if you think about the blogging community there are so many varieties of bloggers and styles that the PR Companies/Brand usually have a certain style in mind and for that particular client your blog may not fit what they are looking for. For example a PR company is not going to invite you to an hair event in London if you live in Manchester and you have never posted about hair styles or products in the past.

The next thing they look at are your stats - if you have just set up a blog recent and have wrote a couple of posts to make it look like your a 'blogger' and start emailing lots of companies to ask for things to review it is not going to happen. PR Companies love a passionate blogger who writes about things they like, have bought, they dislike or anything that tickles your fancy and whether any of the products have been gifted to you or not they don't really mind, but with a good steady audience as there main priority is getting as much exposure and a positive experience for their client.

That isn't to say that PR Companies/Brands only work with bloggers with big stats  as I don't think this is not the case - if you take my blog for example on GFC or Bloglovin you will see my followers are not even close to some of the followers other bloggers have, however I feel that my page views and blog hits is quite high since my blog started in December (it may not be compared to some other bloggers). I have been fortunate to have been contacted by PR Companies/Brands and my only guess is they either love my style of writing/posting, they have looked at my stats or they have seen my other social media sites.

Contacting PR Companies/Brands

There is no right or wrong about contacting a PR company, some people prefer not to and some people choose to and either way it's your choice.

If you choose to contact a PR company I personally would recommend sending an email just to introduce yourself. Include information about yourself and about your blog, include your interests and most importantly include your stats and links to everything including blog, twitter, instagram, facebook and anything else linking with your blog. Don't ever lie about your stats as it will not get you anyway and the company can check and find out, instead even if you have a smaller number of followers compared to other bloggers (like myself) focus on the positives for example how many people have viewed or how many people visit your blog daily etc.

It's always good to see you understand or know alot about the brand/company you wish to collaborate with, remembering that PR companies select a certain number of people to send samples to it is important to show you have a great understanding and also explain how you feel that collaborating with you will benefit the PR company as well as yourself.

Advice

There are a couple of warnings though as you may get companies contact you to send you items to review on your blog but in return they expect a positive review. This is a big no-no for me, Brands have to pay for advertising or publicity in a magazine or in the newspaper - bloggers should not be used for their work to basically get free advertising when the blogger settles for a quick freebie.

I think it is important to make it clear to brands that you will accept the item and post an honest review and let them make the decision. I have had a bad experience previous and I am not naming any brands as it is not a well known company but I was sent some products linked with my dieting/lifestyle posts and I had a really bad experience with the products as they made me really poorly so I made the decision not to post a review - I do have this clearly stated on my blog that I may choose not to write a post at all if it is a newly established or not well known company as I feel it will have a really bad negative impact. I received some awful comments as the company thought I had accepted the products just to get a freebie - this was not the case and I was genuinely interested in the products as I thought it would help with my dieting and with my lifestyle.

Another thing I would mention is don't be afraid to say no - whether it be turning down an event or a product. I tend to look at two things when considering a sample/product; one being whether it would fit within the content of my blog and the other is would I be interested in the product if it wasn't free? I think answering these questions helps me to ensure that my blog is kept mine and is controlled by me - I don't want my blog turned into an advertising website where brands or companies can send me a product to review whether or not in context with my blog and they get the publicity. (Please note that not all companies or PR companies are like this and it probably is very rare that this would happen but it's worth keeping an eye out)

Whether you choose to contact a PR company or not that is your choice and I for one have had both positive and negative experiences when contacting companies and you just have to learn from your experiences but that was the main reason to share this post as when I started my blog I was a complete amateur with all of this PR malarky and I am no where near an expert but I have learnt a lot recent and I thought I would share.

The best advice I can give is just work hard, do what you love and don't write a post because you think it's what people or the company want to see - keep it yours and the rest will come naturally.

What are your experiences with collaborating with PR Companies/Brands? Do you have any recommendations/tips?
