Contouring is probably a make-up trend that will stick around for years to come. Even if we don't like to admit it, we love a good contour. I mean, who wouldn't want to shadow areas of your face to make your face look slimmer, younger and more defined? *Raises hand!*
Bloggers, make-up artists and everyone else raved about the Anastasia Contour Palette, and don't get me wrong it's good, but it's also got a huge price tag so I am always on the search for a good dupe or a cheaper contour kit.
And I found it. Collection's Highlight and Sculpt Contour Kit is seriously amazing, and better yet it cost less than £4!
The contour shade is very similar to the flat-greyish under toned in the light to medium Anastasia palette, which if you have cooler skin tones like me then this will be perfect for you as it doesn't have a lot of warmth to it so avoids a dirty matte-bronzed look and instead gives a soft but build-able shadow. Although you do have to gently apply as when using a sculpting brush, the product is applied quite strong so can almost give you a muddy look, but I apply with the Real Techniques Contour brush for a more gentle finish.
The highlight shade is a soft, yellow-rose highlight with just the right amount of shimmer. Some highlighting shades can give a really over-shimmery golden look whereas this highlight gives a gentle dewy glow. Applied using a fan brush to your cheekbones, brow arch, down the centre of your nose and across your cupids bow to give a beautiful soft glow.
Have you tried the Contour Kit from Collection?
